This is probably one of the most difficult things for girls to do...buy a Valentine’s Day gift for a guy. Many relationships have adopted the notion that the guy is the only one that buys a gift on this holiday. However, this day is something to be shared by both and enjoyed by both. Thats very trying when one side of the relationship feels as though they are doing more, even something as simple as buying a gift.
So, this article is focused more towards those who are looking to give something back and haven't the slightest clue where to start. The intention is to generate some ideas that will make this truly special day something to remember (and something he will remember for more than a few weeks).
What kind of guy are you buying for? What is he interested in? What does he have? What doesn’t he have? And of course, what does he even want? All great questions that spin us into an overwhelming amount of ideas that tend to give you the feeling of ‘where do I start’.
Every one Love Gadgets
iPod, iPad, iPhone - (DOWNLOAD FREE EBOOK on left)
You can find every model on the internet priced between $165.00 to $370.00. If he already has one than look into complimentary items that are compatible with his IPod. Look into work out cases (preferably ones with a thick rubber/silicon case and arm band), maybe new headphones for working out or noise cancelation ones, and even a car charge that also plays music through the radio (look into Best Buy). ITunes may also be a worthy investment so he can add some of his favorite songs or movies without having to steel them from friends or the internet.
iPhone - This is a great way to upgrade your hubby into the current times. If he doesn’t already have one of the more recent models than this should be a pretty easy buy. It will depend on your provider and how much you are willing to spend a month. On average, you will find this should add around $30.00/mo. to your plan for services provided. The good side is that he will with the times, have something to brag about and will probably love using it. Strongly recommended to look into what the differences in costs per month, but you can still find ‘awesome’ phones without having to increase monthly bills. Blackberry, Palm, or even any type of touch screen.
iPad, every-one I know loves their iPad, including my father I bought him one a couple of monthes back and hes 83yrs. The iPad is more convinient to travle with, just for entertainment to check things online and mail not your full blown laptop all the time.
USB Gadgets - The prices are around $89.99 and is something that can be used to take down notes, work schedules, and even get organized with the convenience of a pad and paper. The twist is these are completely digital, look and feel like a notepad. The most well known is the Digimemo Digital Notepad that also has memory included so you don’t have to buy external memory. Other USB gadgets can be a thumb drive with more Flash memory, a new cool wireless computer mouse, speakers that plug into laptops and an external drive that has around 250G of extra memory. If he is on the computer a lot, then you can’t go wrong with any of these gift ideas.
Easy to Use Camcorder - The price is around $170.00 and something that has all of the capabilities of a high powered camera. The advantage is that it is the size of a cell phone but with the power of a professional camera. So now his job of filming family events or unforgettable memories is a breeze and something that is fun to use. Another gift he will brag about, proudly.
Is he a sports guy
Sports Memorabilia - This can include anything from a jersey for his favorite team, a helmet chip&dip bowl for games, a new remote with touch screen capabilities or even tickets to an upcoming game for him and one of his guy friends. Many of these gifts can quickly become expensive if you do not know what to look for, so you should start listening. Get an idea of what teams or players he likes but tuning into him on Sunday's or getting hints from his friends. A sport related gift is sure to be the coolest gift he's received...ever! And let him know it’s ok to change it for something he wants by getting a gift receipt with you purchase.
Golfer - If he is involved with golf than there are always things that he can use. A new glove, a new golf bag, covers for his clubs, buy him time on the driving range or even invest in lessons for him. Unlike other sports and guys gifts, this is something that is pretty basic to pick out. Another benefit is that he can actually excel in business if he goes on company golf outings. Keep it similar with his club/clothing brands and ask for the best sellers at a nearby store.
Man's Man:
Beer Drinker - Look into local beer clubs at nearby restaurants. This is a great way to get him out with his guys and out of the house (for girl’s night). Many of these clubs also end up saving quite a bit of money since he gets something back for being a member. You can easily buy some of his favorite types of beer with the club card attached, which makes for a very effective present. If he likes only one type of beer than but that; if not than purchase something that is interesting like a multi-pack.
Power Tools - This is always the hardest type of guy to buy for because how many women out there really have a good idea of what tools he needs...So for this I would recommend a gift certificate. And if you are not the type to give one of these, than why not offer to ‘take him shopping’ for a tool of his choice. Think of an interesting way to present this and you will have it made.
Book and music
Are always the nutral gift to buy a man, It can be personal, humour or historical. Music , well you need to know your man for he's music this is always a welcome gift.
